CONTRACTORS TWO PATHS ONE INBOX
FOR CONTRACTORS · GET IN TOUCH

Two ways to work with Novara.

Senior offshore contractors come into Novara through one of two paths. The Network — invitation-based, structured, long-term. The Placement List — project-based, direct, professional. Both go through the same founder-direct relationship. Same standards, different structure.

THE WORK

ROV operations · subsea inspection · saturation diving

01 The Two Paths

Pick the relationship that fits.

Both paths share the same standards, same founder-direct contact, and the same commitment to honesty about what we can and can’t do. The difference is structure — the Network is a long-term commitment with structured upside; the Placement List is a direct, project-based relationship without the longer-term mechanics.

/ PATH 01

The Network

Invitation-based · Long-term · Structured

A 300-seat invitation-only network of senior offshore specialists. Members are vouched in, onboarded under a founder-led process, and represented across rotation cycles for the long run. Hard cap once filled. No waitlist.

  • Notified first on every role — before it reaches the open market.
  • Client referral income for 3 years — introduce a client to Novara, earn a share of GP on every project they run with us.
  • Contractor referral income on senior contractors you introduce.
  • Early payment privileges — faster terms earned through participation.
  • Numbered membership 001–300 — your number stays with you as the network scales.
  • Founder-direct contact across every stage of the relationship.
  • Year 3+ inner-circle for top contributors — share of annual GP, distributed proportionally.
Invitation-based. Most members come through introduction. Cold expressions of interest are reviewed personally.
/ PATH 02

The Placement List

Project-based · Direct · Professional

For senior offshore specialists who want a working relationship with Novara without the longer-term Network structure. Same standards, lighter commitment. Briefs come when they match. No noise in between.

  • Direct contract placement on briefs that match your discipline.
  • Compliance handled properly — certs, medicals, visas, tax structure tracked.
  • Paid on agreed terms against verified timesheets. Cashflow risk is ours.
  • Founder-direct contact — not a junior consultant, not a CC chain.
  • No spam, no chasing — you hear from us when there’s a real fit.
Open to introduction. Senior offshore experience expected. The relationship may evolve into a Network conversation over time.
02 How To Get In Touch

Send one email. Make it count.

There’s no portal. There’s no recruiter screening you out before the founder sees your name. There’s one email address — and a clear list of what to send. Every email is read personally. We’ll respond with which path fits — or whether the timing isn’t right.

/ 02A · WHAT TO SEND

Six things, in one message.

  1. Your discipline & current role

One line. e.g. “Senior Hydrographic Surveyor, currently rotational with [operator]”.

  2. Years offshore & key recent projects

Three to five lines. Vessels, regions, operators, scope. No need for a polished CV at this stage — just the truth, plainly.

  3. Your current certifications

BOSIET, OPITO, medical, passport region, visa eligibility. Headline list, not the certificates themselves — we’ll verify those after the call.

  4. Your day rate range & rotation preference

Be honest. Rate range, rotation pattern (e.g. 4 on / 4 off), travel willingness. We’ll never share this without your permission.

  5. Two referees

Two prior project leads, operators or supervisors who’ve seen you on the deck or in the field. Name, role at the time, contact method. We call after a first conversation, not before.

  6. Why Novara — and which path

One paragraph. What you’re looking for in a recruiter, and whether you’re drawn to the Network, the Placement List, or want us to advise based on your fit. Short and honest is better than long and polished.

03 What Happens Next

Four steps from email to working relationship.

No portal, no automated rejections, no silent void. Every email is read by the founder and responded to personally — whether it’s a Network invitation, a Placement List relationship, or a not-yet.

01

Email received

Read in full by the founder, not a junior. Replied to directly.

02

Intro call

30 minutes, founder-direct. We talk through your experience, current situation, and what you want from a long-term recruitment relationship.

03

References & compliance

We call both referees and verify your certifications. You’ll know exactly when this is happening — nothing happens behind your back.

04

Path confirmed

Network invitation with numbered membership, Placement List relationship, or honest not-yet. You hear back from the founder directly.

04 Honest Answers

The questions most contractors ask first.

How do I know which path is right for me?
You don’t need to decide before sending the email. Tell us about your experience, your discipline, what you’re looking for — and ask for our view. The Network is invitation-based and long-term; the Placement List is project-based and lighter-touch. Both share the same founder-direct relationship and the same standards. We’ll tell you honestly which one fits.
Is membership exclusive? Do I have to leave my other agencies?
No. Membership isn’t exclusive. Most senior contractors work with multiple agencies — that’s the reality of offshore contracting. Novara aims to be the recruiter you call first and the one who calls you first. Earning that, not demanding it.
Will my rate range stay confidential?
Yes. Your day rate range is between you and us until you give explicit permission to share it with a specific client. We never circulate rates to operators without your sign-off — not even as part of a wider shortlist.
What if I’m already on a project for an operator you’ll likely place me with?
We’ll be honest with you about it. If you’re currently deployed via another agency or directly to an operator we have a relationship with, we’ll discuss it openly during the intro call — including any commercial conventions about how that’s handled fairly to all parties.
How long does the process take?
Typically 7–14 days end-to-end, from your email landing to your member number being assigned. Faster if compliance and references are straightforward. Slower if your discipline overlaps an active mobilisation and we want to take more time.
What if my application isn’t a fit right now?
You’ll get a real reply explaining why, not a generic rejection. The Founding 300 is built around specific disciplines and experience profiles. If yours doesn’t fit today, we’ll tell you honestly — and we’ll tell you whether the door stays open for a future conversation.
